Gruppo di Fisica dei Materiali e delle Superfici (GFMS) - Physics of Materials and Surfaces Team

GFMS is part of a joint research unit - SEAL (Scattering Emission Absorption Lab) dedicated to optical and electronic properties of surfaces, interfaces and thin films. SEAL includes two laboratories and associated research teams: LFMS (Laboratorio di Fisica dei Materiali e delle Superfici), based at the Department of Engineering E. Ferrari (DIEF) of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Modena, Italy) and the BEAR beamline of CNR-IOM at the Elettra synchrotron radiation facility in Trieste (Italy)

Main techniques and methods

LFMS (Laboratorio di Fisica dei Materali e delle Superfici) @ UNIMORE (Modena - Italy)

Photoemission (UPS, XPS, angle resolved), Auger spectroscopy, Electron Energy Loss spectroscopy (EELS), Metastable deexcitation spectroscopy, Luminescence, Vis-UV absorption and reflectivity.
